I think Darcy is right. The cheating of young man out of his fortune because of jealousy is far more serious an offence than separating a couple of young people who only knew each other a few weeks, and don't forget that Darcy has OFTEN seen Bingley in love before!

I dont think it is anything about his sister being more important to Jane (which to him she is obviously is) it is a matter of honor.
