You have me intrigued as to why you ask me this! Okay, I think no, based on that this is Mr Darcy's view. There are clear differences between what Darcy would do and what Bingley would do, as expressed in Lizzy's presence when Jane was ill at Netherfield, early on.
IMO, what Darcy sees may just be Bingley's natural sociability in operation, which Darcy does not really agree with. And IMO, Darcy thinks Jane is not that interested, so it's complex! Anyone else have thoughts on this?
