...Darcy would have been subject to numerous requests for money from her, which he never mentions.

I am inclined to think that she died too, though it is possible that Darcy just would never mention any requests for money from a Mrs Wickham as it's not relevant to clearing his name with Elizabeth.

Possibly Mrs Wickham ran up debts that overhung her husband's income even after she died.
