And more questions...   Written by Line (5/28/2007 5:36 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Ramsgate (long), penned by JulieW
Are you new?

Great post as usual, Julie! It makes sense that Darcy would want a relatively quiet spot for his little sister to spend the summer. Now I ask myself why there should be a rule about "no dancing *whatever* in the rooms on the nights of the card assemblies"? Was it just that the dancers tended to take over the place? Also, why should "no person be permitted to play with cards which had been left by another party"? Were players forced to buy new packs of cards for every evening of card-playing? Was it OK to bring your own cards, or was it like today's movie theatres that make most of their profits from selling refreshments, not movie tickets, and frown on people bringing their own?
