Very interesting initiative   Written by Marie C (5/28/2007 1:21 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Actually it helps a lot, penned by John S2
Are you new?

The first result of your word search made me think. Could the repeated use of words connected with pride, as opposed to the scarcity of terms around the notion of "prejudice", convey any meaning? What comes to my mind is the following : pride is not only a feeling, but also an attitude and a behaviour. It shows. It can provide a topic for discussion. Some people even admit to it.

Darcy to Elizabeth (Ch. 11)
"But pride - where there is a real superiority of mind, pride will always be under good regulation".

But who would acknowledge being prejudiced? When it finally does arise to consciousness, it is after a long process of maturation, self-knowledge, and finally coming to terms with reality.
Elizabeth to Jane (Ch. 40 ! ) :
"But the misfortune of speaking with bitterness, is a most natural consequence of the prejudices I had been encouraging".

It would be interesting to know what your word search, if continued, might eventually bring about.
