And it's not just Elizabeth's opinion   Written by Tracy W (5/27/2007 8:21 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Not really..., penned by Robbin
Are you new?

And it's not just Elizabeth's opinion that Darcy isn't behaving well. Mrs Bennet says in chapter 9:

What an agreeable man Sir William is, Mr. Bingley -- is not he? so much the man of fashion! so genteel and so easy! -- He has always something to say to everybody. -- That is my idea of good breeding; and those persons who fancy themselves very important, and never open their mouths, quite mistake the matter."

Now this isn't explicitly saying that Darcy is not behaving like a gentleman, but the implication is there. While I would not hold Mrs Bennet up as a perfect judge of character, her attitude here means that it's not just Elizabeth who thinks that Darcy behaves in a way unworthy of a gentleman.
