Are you new?

As you say, whom does Darcy have to confide in (that we know of)? IMO one of his problems is that he has become a little too used to taking responsibility for the people and problems around him, and may possibly do so even when it isn't appropriate. I'm convinced that it would not occur to him to ask anyone's advice on such a personal decision! :-)
