Robbin's comment: "Col Fitzwilliam fancy’s Lizzy but I do not think he intended to show her too much attention since he could have no honorable reason for doing so."

This is why I wonder why he did. Every day at the parsonage, and on his own at times too. I mean, if he didn't know his own financial status from the start, he must have been as "bewitched" as Darcy;-)) Great to read your post and ideas!
