Quote Chapter 26   Written by Carolyn (5/20/2007 7:20 p.m.)
Are you new?

At present I am not in love with Mr. Wickham; no, I certainly am not.

Chapter 26 begins and ends with Elizabeth's feelings regarding Wickham.

"I am now convinced, my dear aunt, that I have never been much in love; for had I really experienced that pure and elevating passion, I should at present detest his very name, and wish him all manner of evil.

I really think that Mrs. Gardiner was right when she said, It had better have happened to you, Lizzy; you would have laughed yourself out of it sooner. Chap 25
