Agreed these are JA's and Lizzy's views.

Whether they are harsh enough to equate Charlotte with a prostitute, I feel certain - they are not!!!!

Though obsessed with her books, I do not consider *all* JA's views as guidelines or *the best* ;-D
Especially in her times.
Or should I say, *mainly* in her times - as Line has aptly commented.
