"Mr. Bennet-like behavior"   Written by Maria Liourdi (5/15/2007 8:59 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Prudence, prudence, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

This is a possibility indeed. Maybe he was carried away by his Mrs's beauty etc, which is not the case with Charlotte and Mr Collins. But IMO she is not reasonable enough in her choice. One doesn't have to be romantic to marry someone he respects. Just have enough self esteem. The case of Mr Bennet shows she can't be happy with someone she cannot have a reasonable dialogue with. She will be alone in this marriage. Moreover, can she ignore this silly man for so long? I think ending up an old maid wouldn't be so bad a prospect compared to this.

And I recall reading somewhere within the grounds of the RoP sth about the ultimate punishment...ugh!
