Mr. Collins' insults   Written by Denise H (5/15/2007 7:31 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The Proposal, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

It seems at every turn, Mr. Collins is insulting and misunderstanding Lizzy. I like "Almost as soon as I entered the house I singled you out as the companion of my future life" (Translate: you were my second choice). And, "...in spite of your manifold attractions, it is by no means certain that another offer...may ever be made you". These are certainly ways to win someone over! ;)
