"It almost makes Darcy's comment about not suspending any pleasure of hers seem very sarcastic and mean." -- My comment from the post above relates directly to the content I was responding to, so I am not referring to Darcy within the text of P&P novel as being "sarcastic and mean".

I meant that in relation to the mortifications Lizzy endured as Carolyn points out so clearly, any reference to "pleasure" he made, can't have felt like that at all. Hope that clears up the post meaning;-D
