And sorry to be replying to this so late (it is difficult to keep up with all the wonderful stuff in this group read).

The reason for my excitement is that I was given some of these objects as a child, by an old lady who my brother and I used to spend time with when visiting my mother in hospital. I would have been about 9, I think, and decided that they were 'treasure': I wrapped them in a scrap of black velvet (don't know where that came from!) and put them in my Special Box, where they still are. But I never knew what they were before!

I have a fish! and two round ones, and one rectangle, though that is slightly chipped.
