I may be wrong, but perhaps Geri-Lynn was thinking of the line: ...Miss Lucas, ... accepted him solely from the pure and disinterested desire of an establishment... (chpt 22).

Charlotte's match may bring all the good things you mentioned, however what JA gives us of Charlotte's own thoughts on the matter in chapter 22 are solely concerned with her own benefits.
