Mrs Bennet does not understand her   Written by Linda (5/14/2007 3:16 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I agree - I think Mr. Bennet's favouritism..., penned by Line
Are you new?

I do not think that Mrs Bennet is smart enough to understand when her husband is laughing at her so does not suspect that her daughter may be laughing at her, too. Also, thus far, I see no evidence that Mr B and E make fun of Mrs B. I think that she may resent the closeness of Elizabeth and her father but because she does not understand them.

Lydia, on the other hand, seems to be exactly like her mother so they have a lot in common and Mrs Bennet enjoys Lydia's company.
