Also, Mrs. Bennet must be aware that Elizabeth and her father have a similar sense of humour, and she may worry that Elizabeth is secretly laughing at her, though Elizabeth would never publicly disrespect her mother the way Mr. Bennet does. (Of course, Mrs. Bennet seems to have no qualms about favouring Lydia the way she does! ;-)
