At the end of chapter 18 the narrator tell us "Elizabeth was the least dear to her (Mrs. Bennet) of all her children; and though the man (Mr. Collins) and the match were quite good enough for her, the worth of each was eclipsed by Mr. Bingley and Netherfield."
Why is Elizabeth the least dear to her mom? Is it because she is NOT as silly as the others? Does Mrs. Bennet know that Elizabeth is embarrassed by her? Your thoughts????
Sorry if my questions are dull/silly.....I am just curious! :)
