The Hursts.   Written by Mandy N (5/13/2007 2:20 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mrs. Hurst played with her bracelets and rings, penned by Cathy Allen
Are you new?

Yes, I've noticed that line before. Louisa had received a fashionable education. I presume she plays piano-forte. With her sister, she sings Scotch airs and Italian songs.
I find of some interest this description by the narrator- or narrator describing Lizzy's thoughts on the Bingley sisters talents;
'Their powers of conversation were considerable. They could describe an entertainment with accuracy, relate an antcedote with humour , and laugh at their acquitance with wit.' ch. 11.

A more interesting picture of Caroline and Louisa emerges.
Yet Mrs Hurst merely plays with her jewellery and Mr H. stretches on the sofa when the card-table is not put up.

I presume Lousia learnt French at the private seminary in town. Yet I wonder if Mr Hurst may've preferred a wife who could cook him French dishes than sing French. ;-)
