Well   Written by Robbin (5/12/2007 6:13 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Chatting up., penned by Lia
Are you new?

I think it can be difficult not to think ahead but it is part of the fun of the group read—focusing only on what we have read so far. I am trying to understand Lizzy’s belief in Wickham with the information she has up to Chapter 18. As Line says above do we know there is anything wrong with Lizzy believing in Wickham? Sometimes questions help me focus. If you can say—what are the things Wickham says or does in Chapter 16 which leads you to the conclusion that he is "chatting her up" rather than just talking about his past? I do not know exactly what chatting her up means except that you appear to think it is bad. Could you explain? I am interested in what leads you to that conclusion. Is it indeed suspiciousness? If it is—what does he say or do which makes you suspicious? ;D
