Quizzical brow here…   Written by Robbin (5/12/2007 8:50 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I just have to say (Ch. 16), penned by Jen K
Are you new?

How do you know Wickham’s story is outrageous? Could you say why you think so? You seem to be implying Wickham wants Darcy to know that he is telling outrageous stories about him? Why do you think that is his purpose?

What have you read so far to make you think Wickham is inferior to Darcy other than his wealth and consequence? Could you point to text up to Chapter 18 which makes you begin to think that he is inferior?

Why are you are a little ashamed of Lizzy? Lizzy is biased by her narrow-minded neighbors—what does that mean exactly? From what are McSchemy’s ideas from; could you provide a reference, perhaps a link or something?

If you think Lizzy should not have believed Wickham could you say why you think so from the chapters we have read so far?

:D
