Are you new?

experince I have of wearing satin slippers( and can write about ) simlar to the ones illustrated is in my long gone ballet dancing days. Satin ballets shoes( very similar to these evening slippers) did not wear well or last long, and for every day practise we wore thin leather shoes.

The satin shoes wore out very quickly and scuffed too even after just one outing.Nedless to say, we saved tehm for special perfromances .. .;-)

If the Bennet girls had fine kid evening slippers the shoe roses would not last as long as the shoes,I'm sure. These articles made of ribbon would get crushed and loose thir shape very easily- if not by being worn but by being stored. Im sure sewing on new ones for every smart ball would be de rigeur ;-)
