Apron on the "Wood" shoe purveyor?   Written by Linda (Ann) (5/9/2007 2:42 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Shoe Roses, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

Julie - in the illustration of shoe shop interior, the salesman wears a long apron over his trousers. Is this to be a bit more modest as he crouches at the ladies' feet? Or is it to keep pants clean? Or some other purpose?

Just curious - thanks for the informative post!

~Linda (Ann)
