I thoght he was flirting with her: to explain further, he was using the music as an excuse to talk to her in a flirtatious way.

But if they had wanted to perfrom an impromtu dance, there were enough people in the room to do it: it was not outside ALL the boundaries of possibilities. Hence my posting then instructions for the dance.
