...of this communication between Mrs. B and her daughters. Certainly Lizzy and Jane would have been humiliated to have their hosts know their mother was encouraging them to extend their to an entire week or longer. I also suspect Mrs. B was too sly in her plotting to reveal it to Bingley or Darcy; was the communication not handled by letters?
