In chapter 18 where Lizzy is dancing with darcy she quotes:


"... It would look odd to be entirely silent for half an hour together..."

Do I understand that a dance in those days took a half hour? Was it realy so long? That makes things more interesting. By chossing Lizzy to dance with, Darcy proclaimes wanting to be in her company, and just in her company, for half an hour.
