I really love Ch 10 in two different aspects: first the two LOL responses Caroline gets from Darcy "Will you give me leave to defer your raptures till I write again?" when she adores him writing and his "Have you anything else to propose for my domestic felicity?" when she tries to provoke him by talking of a supposed marriage with Elizabeth;
and the whole discussion about Bingleys character which turns in such an academic dispute ...I realized I find my own opinion on the matter so much conform with Darcys that this is the time in the book when I start to like him much better than Bingley. To me Darcy comes across as very sensible and thoughtful - he is right about the indirect boast and complying without conviction.
