We didn't really see Darcy's reaction to people paying their respects to him at the MA, but we can deduce that from his response to Sir Lucas' attempts at conversation. Indeed, he was slightly rude. But we cannot associate that to feeling superior to the country folks, for we do not know how Darcy used to act with "higher" society.
