Is it possible that Lizzy IS   Written by Donna H (5/6/2007 4:30 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Of course you can…, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

rather well-read but states she doesn't consider herself a "great reader" because CB meant it as a disparaging remark and the phrase "great reader" may have momentarily brought someone such as Mary to Lizzy's mind? I do not mean to say Lizzy would knowingly state a falsehood about herself. I admit I don't believe she would do so either. But when Darcy talks of admiring a woman who does "improve her mind by extensive reading", perhaps Lizzy realizes she DOES indeed do that. Conjecture on my part, I know.

Thank you for stimulating such discussion with me. At times I express my thoughts/feelings about the book a bit awkwardly and I'm glad to get the chance to hash them through. I'm enjoying my first group read tremendously!
