Still Defending Darcy   Written by jeremy (5/3/2007 5:54 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Not acquited., penned by Mandy N
Are you new?

Darcy does not like dancing -

"I certainly shall not. You know how I detest it, unless I am particularly acquainted with my partner."

And here he is having his friend nag him to dance - you must all have been at parties where you simply do not want to dance and someone is saying "Oh go on - don’t be a spoil sport etc"

How annoying is that????

So at that point he makes a snide comment about someone he does not know and - it my assertion that ELiza has exceptionally fine hearing because Darcy had his back to her when he made the remark - and now you all condem the man!

Anyway, before this Eliza has already made her decission not to like him, based on the fact that he didnt like country dances!

So really SHE is one in the wrong here! (only Joking!)

I am enjoying this thread and group read very much indeed!

You have failed to convince me so far.
