Are you new?

I think I have always interpreted this a little differently.

I took it literally - thinking that Lady Lucas is not so bright so is not so valuable a neighbor to the Bennetts. A more intelligent person would be a more valuable neighbor (perhaps because a more intelligent neighbor could give better information, assistance etc.)

It's interesting to see other interpretations.
