This is interesting to me, too. Bingley's exclamation points certainly do show his more energetic, affable nature.

I agree that Darcy's word choice seems more complicated. I've always wondered about Bingley's use of "stupid." It seems a little vulgar (too strong, perhaps?) and common.

I look forward to reading more of your "voices" insights!
