he was predisposed to find nothing agreeable at a country ball. And, having abused Lizzy's physical attributes to "himself and his friends," he is mortified, as Robbin mentions, by the error in his rush to judgment, and upon reflection, his total lack of breeding when discussing her to others. Ironically, he defends later that his ultimate opinion of others is formed with some deliberation.
