Neat   Written by Robbin (5/1/2007 10:47 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Sir William Lucas: just how did he gain his Knighthood?, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

Even though Richard Arkwright seems a great deal more productive than poor Sir William ever was his round-cheeked countenance reminds me of Sir William Lucas’s appearance in P&P2 although maybe a bit more serious looking. Also Mrs. Murray’s derision at RA’s size and amusement at his attire and ideas of correctness reminds me a great deal of Caroline and Louisa. I can easily believe something like her sentiment would pass between them in letters about Sir William. I love how you put the pieces together Julie W to detect and illustrate the back story—thanks so much! ;D
