Are you new?

I have never agreed that "pride" primarily refers to Darcy and "prejudice" to Lizzy, but I think it is too early in the group read to discuss that in any detail. However, I think that Darcy's evaluation of those attending the Assembly certainly demonstrates his prejudices.

However, I agree here that Darcy is demonstrating prejudice against those at the Assembly. I'm not sure if that applies to his opinion of Lizzy's appearance -- he does, after all recognize Jane's beauty.
