Certain amount of prejudice   Written by Jen S (5/1/2007 8:31 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Darcy's *change* of mind, penned by Kathi

Elizabeth often seems to be the one to whom the prejudice in the title of the story is attributed. Much has already been made of Darcy's pride. But isn't it possible, if not probable, that Darcy entered the Meryton assembly with a certain number of preconceived notions on who and what he would find there (prejudice)? He allowed those notions to color his initial assessment of Elizabeth, and it was only after getting to know her that the prejudice began to crumble, and he saw that there was far much more to her than he gave her credit for at first.
