The end of ch.4 contains several paragraphs matter-of-factly describing Bingley, his sisters, Darcy and Bingley's friendship, and Darcy himself. Each paragraph contains information Elizabeth might have guessed, but could not possibly know for sure at this stage in the proceedings. I find it interesting that in the 4(?) years I've spent at Pemberley, I've never seen anyone argue that the information given about Bingley or his sisters is inaccurate, but people regularly argue that the information about Darcy is either due to Elizabeth's limited and biased POV, or that the narrator is deceiving us in some way... Perhaps part of the trouble is that the POV slips unobtrusively from Elizabeth's to the narrator's in the sixth paragraph from the end?
