Darcy's *change* of mind   Written by Kathi (4/30/2007 10:14 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Well, Darcy's "change" of mind..., penned by Spencer
Are you new?

It seems to me that if Darcy's evaluation of Lizzy's looks at the Assembly could be mainly attributed to his bad mood, then his evaluation would have changed faster. According to the description by the narrator, however, he first looks at her to criticize and even has time to share his criticisms with his friends before he changes his mind.

I have always imagined Lizzy as a woman who is pretty enough, but whose real attractiveness came from her liveliness and intelligence -- in fact, that is what Darcy comes to appreciate about her.
