Are you new?

Even today it would be rude to refuse someone to dance and accept the next one asking. But you must somehow make clear your preferance (nowadays,of course, there are many ways).


However if you refused him constantly in several occasions(in JA's time)it would be rather explicit that you don't like him.
Of course one could always dance all night and enjoy herself, not caring what her partners would assume!
