Some more questions   Written by Carolyn (4/30/2007 4:13 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, A question about Dance Sets, penned by Adrian
Are you new?

# Did a set combine a slower dance and a faster dance thus providing the dancers variety?

Or were they variations of a particular dance -- like an Irish jig, followed by a Scottish jig?

Also, was there a some standard of dances for an evening, ie, the first is always country dances, second set always minuets, etc.

Also, why does Mrs. Bennet mention the Boulanger separately (Ch.3) from the dance sets. Was it a dance that was never part of a set?
