I am afraid that I don't quite understand your question   Written by Tracy W (4/29/2007 5:09 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Bingley family and fortune., penned by Mandy N
Are you new?

To me, the sentence conveys information about both Charles, Caroline and Louisa's family and the source of their fortune. With reference to their family, they come from the north of England. With reference to their fortune, it was earned through trade.

I am not sure how it could be read as only being about Mr Charles Bingley's fortune. Surely the money is not "of a respectable fmaily in the north of England"?
