I want to focus on the marital atmosphere of the long-married couples esp. Mr. and Mrs. Bennet. I just loved the scene in Ch. 2 where Mrs. Bennet declares ...How good it was in you, my dear Mr. Bennet! But I knew I should persuade you at last. ..and it is such a good joke, too, that you should have gone this morning, and never said a word about it till now..

I do not have the impression so far, that she is in any way not happy in her mariage, although (Ch. 1 last paragraph).. the experience of 23 years had been insufficient to make her understand his character.
PS. I am a little afraid my english, esp. when written down, leaves quite some room for improvement ...
