The first use of the word pride Written by LauraG (4/29/2007 2:40 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Darcys pride, penned by Michaela

is by Mrs. Bennet in Ch 5 "...But I can guess how it was; everybody says that he is eat up with pride,..."

However, proud and other synonyms are used earlier. Just thought it was interesting to note. :-)
