Are you new?

Longbourne is described as a village (ch 3 & 7), but Netherfield isn't. But maybe the superior grandness of Netherfield is only in the house itself. Does the estate of Longbourne encompass the village of Longbourne? What about Pemberley? Do you think that has a village?

It's so strange... I have ended up with more questions than the original ones I was trying to answer.
