The schedule is posted at the top of the board. This is a No Spoiler Group Read, meaning that any post you make on events that have not yet occurred in the assigned chapters will be deleted. You may reference back to previous chapters and weeks, but no looking ahead. We'd also like to try and progress through the chapters as the week progresses; that is, please do not post about something in ch. 9 on the first day of the GR. This is not a "rule" but a request. We find that this makes the read less disjointed if we're not popping about too much. Thanks.

The pop-up novel text is available at the top of the board and inside each message for your convenience. Please refer to the text of the novel (including chapter) in your post to explain your ideas. It is my hope that every post will contain a direct quote. It shouldn't be an extensive quote, but a short quote will be helpful to pinpoint exactly the scene to which you refer. Some supposition and guesswork will naturally occur, but we insist that it be grounded in the text and not your imagination. ;-)

If you find yourself in a disagreement with another poster, after stating your case, please "agree to disagree" instead of prolonging the discussion. We do not mean to discourage the airing of different viewpoints, but let's keep it to a reasonable number of posts back and forth before moving on. And please do not feel slighted if a committee member steps in to halt the debate. It’s a long, complex novel, and we want to keep things moving along.
