I just assumed that they still grew at about the same rate, but that they just didn't get as tall as us because of the nutrition thing (obviously I do need the book I'm asking for for my birthday about JA's time)

its odd then how they got married younger back then, but continued growing longer, but we grow faster, but get married (on average) so much later...
