Just when Mr Denny has told Lydia that Mr Wickham wished to avoid a certain gentleman, Elizabeth reacts so strong "that she could hardly reply with tolerable civility to the polite inquiries which he directly afterwards approached to make."


This groupread really makes me read instead of skimming to come to my favourite parts. I have not realized before that Mr Darcy makes contact with Lizzy before he asked her to dance.
