When he discusses Mr. Collins' letter, Mr. Bennet is already looking forward to Mr. Collins as a source of amusement. Mr. Collins does live up to all Mr. Bennet's expectations, but what are the ethics involved here? Granted, the target is very tempting, and Mr. Collins doesn't even realize that he's being made fun of -- but what kind of a host makes fun of a guest at his own table?
