Where did they go?   Written by Ramya (1/18/2004 8:52 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mr Bingley's actions, penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

A couple of questions on the back of my mind...

In another minute Mr. Bingley, but without seeming to have noticed what passed, took leave and rode on with his friend.

They were on their way to Longbourn. But, as they met Jane on the way, shouldn't they have turned back to Netherfield. I wonder where they rode on?

Secondly, why did Darcy chose to go with Bingley? Because of the excercise(riding), or was he trying to be civil? It would not have been on Elizabeth's account,at least not conciously- for he was trying not to fix his eyes on her...LOL. The Bingley sisters do not seem to have been so eager about Jane. I wonder if they were horsewomen...
