...that Caroline sees, along with everyone else, that her brother and Elizabeth's sister are in love, and she's worried about her possible future sister-in-law being friendly with a man who she's heard is not respectable? Caroline always has been worried about Jane's family in general, but this would be a specific problem for her brother if, indeed, Wickham "treated Mr. Darcy in a most infamous manner."
